When I Have A Daughter

When I have a daughter, I will teach her to love others. I will also teach her to believe in herself to the extent that she doesn't love others because she can't love herself.

When I have a daughter, I will teach her to respect those behind and ahead of her because they can and will influence parts of her.

When I have a daughter, I will teach her to be herself because at the end of the day, that will be the greatest gift she can give to God, herself, and the rest of humanity.

Getting to Know Yourself

There is nothing powerful like getting to know yourself. You need to continuously be curious about learning about you...it's called self-awareness. The more you know about yourself, the more you will end up investing your time, energy, and resources in things that fulfill you.

Some Friendships are Temporary

You better not think that everyone in your life right now will be there forever. You might have some friends who you want to make into life-long friends but life has other plans. So don't be surprised when people grow out of you. Be loving and enjoy the present...don't expect anything in return and even if you are in the midst of temporary friendships you will be fine.

Knowing Your History

I know a lot of people who claim that history is senseless and useless. Such comments and many others have made me wonder whether it is really possible to move forward without a sense of the past. How can someone know what they are supposed to do without knowing what has happened before? The answer to this question and many others shows that if people do not understand their history they can be more likely to do things in a similar productive or unsuccessful manner that that was done before. Nobody wants to waste time so try your best to understand the history of any and everything before you move into the present and future.
