Teachers Need a Raise

Whoever said teachers don't need or deserve a raise maybe never ever spent a day in a classroom full of kids with different needs.

Appreciating Teachers

Teachers are some of the most influential people in our lives but they are not always treated well. They actually spend a lot of time with children than even caretakers at times. Remember to appreciate the teachers who helped you along the way.

Education for Life

There's the sight of blood,
The sound of bullets,
The air of terror,
The winds of chaos as they move swiftly,
From border to border,
It is transformational,
That's the battle cry of education.

Thoughts on New Year's Resolutions #3

A common resolution for students might be to get higher grades or excel on a standardized test like the SAT,  TOEFL, GMAT, GRE, MCAT, PCAT and so on. You need to remember that you are more than a grade. Do your best and don't forget to maximize your academic strengths. Don't waste on your time on your weaknesses that might take a lot of your time and blind you from your underlying academic strengths.

The Fear of Education

Why don't you want to go to college? What made you think you can't do it? What is the worst case scenario if you go get an undergraduate degree, graduate degree or doctorate? You just have to be brave. You will never know what you are capable of academically unless you take a step of faith.

Challenges in Education

Education can open your eyes in ways that you never imagined. So why is the education system of some places structured in a way that students merely memorize to get by? And if you ask them in a week or year about something they know nothing. So how in the world can true learning be achieved? Since true learning should go hand in hand with a healthy sense of memory.

Education for the Sake of Education

Do you just want to get an education for the sake of an education? Don't simply study something for the sake of studying if you have other options. Find ways to learn more about yourself so you can increase your intellect and who knows???...maybe add something substantial to a certain field within or outside your niche.

How has your Education Changed your Life?

Some people say it's a waste of time to get a bachelors or graduate school degree or PhD. They would rather study to some level and then do other things. On the other hand, there are people who are eating the fruits of knowledge. We need to hear from you all so we can be inspired. What are some ways in which being educated has impacted you or those close to you?

Don't Be Afraid to Learn

Why are we sometimes afraid to fail? Isn't learning supposed to be an enjoyable process? How do we end up getting caught in merely trying to get grades? These grades are sometimes the very thing afraid of learning. No one was born knowing anything or will die knowing anything. We all learn at different paces so put your fears aside and enjoy the beauty of learning.

Things to Know on the Way to your Career Goal

There is no doubt that a career is becoming an increasingly important part of our everyday lives from Africa to Asia and everywhere else. Why else would somebody go to school for even more than 15 years. We all sometimes have that dream career that keeps us going through the ins and outs. Here are some things to know about the career world:
  • Don't be surprised if you end up changing your career goals even after having put much effort into it
  • Be ambitious but also realistic and read the writing on the wall and figure out when it is time to seek different educational opportunities in a different career if you are in school
  • Asses yourself and find out whether you are someone who can go back home after work without any baggage from work....if not be really careful with what you choose as it will highly affect your personal life
This is all for today. Feel free to leave any career advice in the comment box.

Education for life

It's Friday!!! I used to be so excited about weekends when I was a first year student in college. Now that I am a third year student, I'm like well let it be. I don't mean to be pessimistic or anything, but sometimes after a week long of education and education...I'm just tired.
In spite of that, I strongly think education is a great thing to attain, and I mean a life-long education beyond that degree or Phd. And of course, our teachers aren't there to just feed us with knowledge, but also there to light the sparks of creativity in our minds. If you don't have such a teacher, then be one to yourself, and I bet you won't regret that decision for the rest of your life. Try taking free and for charge courses online and get your associates, bachelors or doctorate. Learning is fun and when done right can expand your horizons in ways you can never imagine.
Great weekend everybody from America to the Phillipines, and everyone else...Love you all!
