Allowing Yourself to be You

Different cultures have their expectations of what attitudes are viewed favorably. Such national attitudes can directly or indirectly influence the way you act. Even smaller groups like your co-workers, friends, and relatives can shape the way you see things. Learn to see things through others eyes but don't lose yourself and become blind in the process.

Wasting Your Life

Don't waste your life doing what others say you ought to do in order to succeed. Live your life by your own rules. You don't want to find out that you were living a lie when it's too late. Only you can define what success means to you.

Strategies to Help You Believe in Yourself

We sometimes find it easier to believe in others than ourselves. In order for us to move forward we should also believe in ourselves. Here are some tips on how to believe in yourself:
  • Remember that you are unique and were made for a special purpose
  • Don't compare yourself to others...compare yourself to yourself
  • Celebrate all the milestones you have already crossed
  • Dream big and surround yourself with people who remind you of your wonderful qualities and don't hesitate to correct you also

The art of advice

There are times people share things with you. Sometimes all they want is just a listening ear. Not everyone wants to hear advice. So just take it slow. Listen and listen real good. Then you will know what to say, as there is a time for everything. And you will know when your advice is needed, and then you can share it in the most empathetic manner possible. Happy week!

Attitude determines your altitude

There are times in life when you might feel like nothing is working out. You might even feel like giving up, and simply just existing for the sake of it. But a bad attitude won't take you so far. So let us learn to change the inner parts of us beginning with our attitudes....which is a changeable thing before seeking to change the outer circumstances.

Purpose in life....

Have you ever though about what is your life purpose beyond your career? Is there really a day for us to figure out what is our specific reason for being on earth? The crazy thing is that we sometimes flee from our gifts and missions. And crazier than that, is that sometimes there is  no definite way to know for sure  that something is your purpose based on whether it brings you pain or joy or whether it is done with ease or difficulty. But I still think that passion is a good way to figure out our purpose. By figuring out what our passions are, it can be one way to begin a step at a time to find our true purpose in life that transcends our individual happiness, and goes on to make the world a better place.
Great day!

Comparison is sometimes fatal...

It is possible that at one point or another of our lives we have compared ourselves to others. Comparison might seem as a healthy habit as sometimes we are urged to do so in order to evaluate our progress in a school or work setting. However, too much of a good thing can turn into a bad thing.

For instance, if we compare ourselves too much to others no matter what we have we will never be grateful. We might begin to feel inadequate then resentful or bitter. So let us strive to appreciate our uniqueness and be our best at letting "us" shine out. In such a way we can truly celebrate others victories while preparing our own different ones.

Humility is a treasure

Today I am pondering on humility. What makes us proud? Why do we sometimes compares ourselves to others in order to feel better? I bet a psychologist or someone with a good head on their shoulders would know. As for now, I don't know...I know I just want to be humble...I want to be in the valley.
Great day everyone!
