This Christmas find a way to do something you have never done.  You only have 1 Christmas in 2013. Make the most of it and be as giving as ever in every way possible. Spread some love and cheer...you never know who might be needing it the most.

Friendship and other Things

Do people come to you just because of what you give them? Are they out to get your money, expertise, brains, or something? It's good to always be giving in honor of God but don't mistake that for friendship.

Giving without Money

They say money makes the world go round ...doesn't it? Yeah money can make certain people or things gravitate towards you. The sad thing is that some of those people won't be genuine. If you have money you have to learn to find ways to be loving that go beyond spending lavish amounts of money on someone to prove your love.

Getting Rid of Greed

Why do you think you need more than you do? If you have so much in whatever possessions, why don't you give some away? Don't just be a taker always; abandon greed and learn to be a giver.  #Giving Heart

Ways to Be a Blessing To Others

Don't we all love receiving blessings? Who doesn't love surprises? I bet we can all agree that we enjoy such things. The question remains as to how we can return the favor. Here are two of the many ways by which you can be a blessing to someone else in return:

• Express sincere gratitude to whoever blessed your heart...don't hide it just let it out in whatever form it appears
• Find ways to daily remind the giver that you highly value how he or she has positively impacted your life

Learning the Beauty of Donating

Why do we like clinging to things we don't need? Why do we like waiting to have plenty before deciding to make any donation? Two words ...Human nature. Yeah to some extent as humans we have in it in us to not be selfless. We have to learn to be altruistic and genuine. Don't just donate things for the sake of donating. If you want to give someone stuff don't always give them old and used stuff. Learn to also donate things in great condition...including yourself. Once you start you will realize you can't stop and you will keep on getting blessed.

Poverty....oh poverty

I have never thought that poverty was similar to violence. But now, that I think of the forces behind poverty....I am finally able to see how it could be a form of violence. I think there are some oppressive systems in place which would rather think of profit than the cost of a human life. I am yet to learn about those systems, but take time with me today to reflect on how we can help uproot the systematic causes of poverty. Peace everybody!

Giving and giving is priceless

Today as we go about our daily activities...let us not forget the power of giving. Giving should not only be about money or possessions. Giving can also encompass the giving of time, energy and resources to those in need.

If you ever doubt the beauty of giving...take some time to reminisce on where you would have been if nobody at all in your life had never given something to you.
