How much do you know about the law?

When I was little I used to think that an attorney is different from a lawyer and even advocate. I later realized that they were all the same. Has anyone ever been to court or followed court proceedings? If you have done any of the following you will realize that attorneys play a unique role in the justice system of any country. There are times when people complain about certain kinds of injustices. It's time to stop complaining and start motivating the young and old to enter the field of law. Getting more attorneys from different backgrounds is one way to change the legal system of an area.

Justice here and there

It is sometimes easy to remain focused on maintaining justice in issues that only directly affect you and your loved ones. We need to break out of that shell and be altruistic even when it comes to justice.

Poverty....oh poverty

I have never thought that poverty was similar to violence. But now, that I think of the forces behind poverty....I am finally able to see how it could be a form of violence. I think there are some oppressive systems in place which would rather think of profit than the cost of a human life. I am yet to learn about those systems, but take time with me today to reflect on how we can help uproot the systematic causes of poverty. Peace everybody!
