The Sunk Cost Effect

Once upon a time I took a mini- Economics class in college and mainly learned one thing. No I learned a lot but one thing stuck. The sunk cost effect. I remember it because it's all about how some people put so much into something that they can't walk away from it. Basically, they are blinded from other possibilities. So make sure that in your personal, academic, and professional life you are open to other options even if you have invested a lot.

PS. Change that major if you need to and watch your happiness increase in college hahaha

Expanding Your Career Options

You don't have to do one single thing your whole life. You might have gone to college for one thing and you might end up doing another. So while in college enjoy what you study but also be realistic with exploring your options for the future.

Self-discipline and Procrastination

Some college students think it is cute to say "I procrastinate a lot." Well that would be cute for an infant to say. But as a young adult you are basically just saying that you have no self-discipline to do what you really need to be doing at the right time and place and in the right way. You are basically dissing yourself. Like who would openly say, "I have no self-discipline" and yet millions will say, "I am a procrastinator." And yeah it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy that takes you down as you never live up to your full potential although it may look like you are superficially thriving. So today is your lucky day to kiss your lover Procrastination good bye. Hehehe!
