Expanding Your Career Options
You don't have to do one single thing your whole life. You might have gone to college for one thing and you might end up doing another. So while in college enjoy what you study but also be realistic with exploring your options for the future.

1. It is okay to not know your major or even change it. Just be true to yourself and your major will find its way to you.

How to Succeed in College
Here are some thoughts from a college senior's experience:
- Major in what you naturally excel in
- Don't hold on to a major that is taking your GPA nowhere
- Be true to yourself and have the guts to stick to your career or change it if necessary
- Expose yourself to different experiences in and out of the class. These are your most formative years and any encounter no matter how big or small could have a big impact on your identity and even career interests
- Don't think of your life as being constrained by one career or major. Be open to all the new talents you might discover in yourself
- Remember that you are your own person at the end of the day and can choose whether or not to join a sorotity, fraternity, or any popular organization
Any more thoughts?

Self-discipline and Procrastination
Some college students think it is cute to say "I procrastinate a lot." Well that would be cute for an infant to say. But as a young adult you are basically just saying that you have no self-discipline to do what you really need to be doing at the right time and place and in the right way. You are basically dissing yourself. Like who would openly say, "I have no self-discipline" and yet millions will say, "I am a procrastinator." And yeah it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy that takes you down as you never live up to your full potential although it may look like you are superficially thriving. So today is your lucky day to kiss your lover Procrastination good bye. Hehehe!

Confessions of a Control Freak
I used to want to have everything planned out for even 10 years down the road. This was especially in regards to my career and marriage. It wasn't about the specific place, car, house, or clothes that I wanted to own.
That sort of life was tiring and soon ended in college after I realized that the inevitable will occur no matter what. I ended up changing my major and career goals. I even changed the age that I planned to get married at. And you know what? It's okay. I have learned that it is good to plan ahead but don't let that stop you from exploring other opportunities.
I am not the same person who walked into college...I am now a new me although at the end of the day I am me.
