A Reason to Live

Find a reason to live. Being a doormat shouldn't be one of those reasons. Learn to be generous with your gifts but have courage to be strong even on the day when you can no longer give.

Thoughts on Helping Others

Don't help someone because you expect something in return. Just help them because it's a part of human nature. Think about it. You haven't been able to repay everyone back for what they did for you. Have you? No but you should when you can and remember but a lot of us are 

Giving Money To "Broke" People

People will be broke around you if you allow them to. Here are some other ways of saying it:

• You could be enabling someone to be broke around you
• You could be wasting your money on a lost cause who wants to use you

In  a nutshell, make sure that you are giving to someone who is really broke and not someone who pretends to be broke or else you are basically being "gold-dug" whether you are a man or woman.

The Spirit of Christmas

This Christmas find a way to do something you have never done.  You only have 1 Christmas in 2013. Make the most of it and be as giving as ever in every way possible. Spread some love and cheer...you never know who might be needing it the most.

How to not be too Kind

Just because you are kind to someone does not mean that other people will be kind to you. Look into history and you will find out that a lot of decent and generous souls have been mistreated. So be kind while watching your back.

Giving without Money

They say money makes the world go round ...doesn't it? Yeah money can make certain people or things gravitate towards you. The sad thing is that some of those people won't be genuine. If you have money you have to learn to find ways to be loving that go beyond spending lavish amounts of money on someone to prove your love.

Getting Rid of Greed

Why do you think you need more than you do? If you have so much in whatever possessions, why don't you give some away? Don't just be a taker always; abandon greed and learn to be a giver.  #Giving Heart

Humility and rising

Some people might think humility is a bad thing, but sometimes we don't even have to look so far, as nature shows us that being "lower like an ocean can give you power from rivers."And from that power, guess what? You can use to positively impact the lives of people around you and even afar. Also, just remember that no matter what your plight in life is, it's not all about you. Somebody must have made your life easier in one way or another, even directly or indirectly. So be humble and give back everyday in big and small ways, that is the essence of human life and nature.

Charity begins with whoever is around

Sometimes we think we are not doing any real help unless we are helping starving children in Africa or elsewhere, but even in America, 1 in 4 children are at risk of going to bed hungry, and need a helping hand. So we should not shy away from helping them too. Also, if you have a friend or enemy  close-by or afar who needs anything, be it morally, physically or psychologically just reach out and help them. The funny thing about helping others is when you realize that in the end you also feel wonderful....it is like a divine give and take. Try it and let me know....Great day!

Poverty....oh poverty

I have never thought that poverty was similar to violence. But now, that I think of the forces behind poverty....I am finally able to see how it could be a form of violence. I think there are some oppressive systems in place which would rather think of profit than the cost of a human life. I am yet to learn about those systems, but take time with me today to reflect on how we can help uproot the systematic causes of poverty. Peace everybody!

Giving and giving is priceless

Today as we go about our daily activities...let us not forget the power of giving. Giving should not only be about money or possessions. Giving can also encompass the giving of time, energy and resources to those in need.

If you ever doubt the beauty of giving...take some time to reminisce on where you would have been if nobody at all in your life had never given something to you.
