Reasons to Write Down Your Vision

Sometimes all you need to inspire you is to see someone do what you have to do. You can sometimes have the privilege of having that but not always. At times, all you gotta do is write your vision down sometimes in order to see you in it. At least, it is a starting point even if the direction of your goals changes. What you write down today will impact your daily actions.

Embracing Self-Discipline in your Daily Life

Discipline can give you an epiphany. Try exercising moderation in all areas of your life. After you minimize the distractions you will be surprised by what had been going on while you were living an unprincipled life. Discipline is your best friend because it is the difference between someone who  has a dream and the one who turns it into a reality.

Remember who You are

Sometimes we lose focus of our identity and goals. You should want to learn more about yourself daily. Don't waste your time keeping up with the Kardashians, have you kept with yourself? You have to stay in tune with your past and present in order to daily remember who you are.

Put Your But Down

People have different ways of getting their messages across. One of the most important lessons, I have learned from some people in my life is, "Put Your But Down." It may sound harsh to some, but isn't prevention better than cure? Oh yes it is that is why we need to make sure that we cultivate self-discipline. We need to discipline ourselves and make sure that we know when to walk around and when to sit down and get important stuff done in the most timely and efficient manner.

3 Ways to Remain Happy On the Way to Your Goal

We all have goals and some of them are very long term ones. So with time also comes weariness and that is not the easiest thing to conquer. We need to not only enjoy the results of our labor but we should also enjoy the process. Here are some ways to remain happy while working on something that takes a lot of time:
  1. Take a day at a time and celebrate even your smallest accomplishments
  2. Encourage others along the way who are striving to reach their own goals which might be similar or different
  3. Find new and exciting activities that you love to do that can energize you when you are at low points

Things to Know on the Way to your Career Goal

There is no doubt that a career is becoming an increasingly important part of our everyday lives from Africa to Asia and everywhere else. Why else would somebody go to school for even more than 15 years. We all sometimes have that dream career that keeps us going through the ins and outs. Here are some things to know about the career world:
  • Don't be surprised if you end up changing your career goals even after having put much effort into it
  • Be ambitious but also realistic and read the writing on the wall and figure out when it is time to seek different educational opportunities in a different career if you are in school
  • Asses yourself and find out whether you are someone who can go back home after work without any baggage from work....if not be really careful with what you choose as it will highly affect your personal life
This is all for today. Feel free to leave any career advice in the comment box.

Choosing to Continue Your Goals

When we set goals we sometimes assume that we will reach our goals in a particular order. I can't disagree that some people have that experience but some people don't. If you are one of those people facing difficulty in attaining your goals...take some time to ask yourself these questions:
  • Are there additional ways that you could incorporate into the achievement of your goals?
  • Are there any divergent paths you could risk taking that could possibly lead you into making a new goal?

Success and your mind

Have you ever been told or told someone, "You have everything you need to succeed"? Well whether you have or haven't there is some truth to this statement. A lot of things that happen or do not happen to us tend to test our responses to life while teaching us lessons. But don't forget to have fun in your quest for success in any area of your life. No one knows all the rules of life but it does help to try to apply what worked for others and see if it works for you too.

Dreams and reality

Have you ever had dreams that only seemed like something only accomplishable in dreams? Well sometimes your dreams are meant to stay there. But sometimes you have to take the extra step and make your dream a reality. You will be surprised how capable you are, and you will end up not only bringing the best in yourself but also in others! So exercise perseverance, passion, and patience and you will be surprised that some of your dreams were not only meant to be dreams.

Focusing to get by...

One of the challenging things in life for some people is realizing that there are boundless opportunities. I guess it must be part of human nature for us to devalue our other capabilities, and sometimes aimlessly focus on that which is not attainable. There is a line between realistically stretching yourself, and foolishly attempting to do something which brings you, and all your other capabilities down.
So we have to choose our battles wisely, as we pursue our goals in order to win the war in whatever area of life we are faced with challenges. We can do it Olympian style...let us focus on excelling in the little things we do everyday, and one day we will realize that all those little things we did finally amount to something big and wonderful. Moral of the story: Take a step at a time!

Persistence beats the odds...

There are some things that we dream of doing that sometimes drain our energy for dreams worth pursuing. Or other times in the process of making our dreams a reality we encounter challenges. I think one of the keys to overcoming such downward circumstances is to be persistent. We should never let a "single defeat" cause us to lose sight of our coming victory.
So in whatever you do ...no matter how it gets don't forget to remain persistent and optimistic!

Goals and realities

I am pretty sure that growing up you all might have heard the saying, "You can be anything you dream of". However, such a phrase does not give much more information about the realities involved when striving to attain a goal. I think the quote should not only put emphasis on a dream but dreams. Because as we move on in life in pursuit of our dream; there are times we'll realize we can't achieve that dream....but if we have dreams then we can focus on those instead of despairing over what could have been.
So if we don't achieve our goals or dreams we should not give in to bitterness towards ourselves or those who have accomplished what we wanted to do. We should instead transform our disappointment into a dynamic energy to help us pick up the pieces from the broken dream and make them into a wonderful tapestry in an achievable dream.
Great weekend everybody!
