Embracing Self-Discipline in your Daily Life

Discipline can give you an epiphany. Try exercising moderation in all areas of your life. After you minimize the distractions you will be surprised by what had been going on while you were living an unprincipled life. Discipline is your best friend because it is the difference between someone who  has a dream and the one who turns it into a reality.

Definition of Discipline

Discipline isn't necessarily about avoiding excesses. It's also about making sure that you aren't have too little of things. In short, discipline is about balance. Discipline is what makes the difference between the person who says they will do something and the one who actually does it.

Discipline is Not about Avoiding the Excess

Discipline is not always about restraining yourself from excess. Nor is it either engaging excessively in another seemingly beneficial material. Discipline is about balance and moderation. You can have a full life if you choose to live life in bits.

The Most Important Lesson for Your Child

The world has really changed. We almost have everything like that. The internet is at the tip of our fingers and so are many things. With so many of this and that it might be hard for your child to focus. You need to help your child develop a sense of discipline. How? Well you need to exercise discipline by being moderate so your child's lesson is equally important to you.

Discipline the Missing ingredient for Success

We've always heard  about a lot of stuff that we should or should not be doing in order to succeed. One word that often gets forgotten is discipline. Discipline isn't something that begins in the classroom or ends there...it is that one thing that you want to have with you everyday of your life so that you can get done what needs to be done in the way it needs to be done. Don't waste your time or you won't be any different from those who so freely do so.

Put Your But Down

People have different ways of getting their messages across. One of the most important lessons, I have learned from some people in my life is, "Put Your But Down." It may sound harsh to some, but isn't prevention better than cure? Oh yes it is that is why we need to make sure that we cultivate self-discipline. We need to discipline ourselves and make sure that we know when to walk around and when to sit down and get important stuff done in the most timely and efficient manner.

Winning and effort

There are times when all we want are external victories, but sometimes the inner victories are the best, because you can them use as a hidden fuel to help you in your other battles. And of course, sometimes if you have done your best, that is really all that matters, and you can stay confident and wait for the next direction that your plans will take you to.

Trust and promises...promises and trust

When it comes to daily relationships or even the corporate world, many of us want people we can trust...that is dependable people. Trust is indeed an important character. As for some people when it comes to choosing a life partner, trust is one of the most important things beyond even money, looks and other criteria. And it hurts when someone you trust doesn't keep a promise, but don't get bitter, but instead use that experience to motivate you to keep your promises. And, yeah don't make promises you can't keep for  the sake of the moment. Be strategic and truthful a day at a time, as you build blocks of truth, as there is no need to make a promise you can't keep in the first place.

Waiting and waiting

Don't we all hate waiting? Funny enough, we are sometimes the ones who keep ourselves, and others waiting. Sometimes the best things in life take time. Sometimes what we want or need isn't ready, so we have to wait. So what should we do while waiting? One thing to remember is, that if you know what your waiting for is valuable, then give it some credit, and be patient....wait with a good attitude:)

Time managers and wasters

Time is one of those valuable things that can easily be taken for granted if one has no game plan. Sometimes we just kill time intentionally or unintentionally while doing things are not worthy to ourselves or others. We gotta stop letting time pass for the sake of time because there is no time bank or a rewind button on time. The sad thing is that lost time can never be recovered, so we need to know our priorities in life; because our priorities will determine our time usage. And if you don't know your priorities...trust me on this; Someone who knows their priorities will use your time.

Money and life

Some might disagree, and say money is everything. Well money is something, but without other aspects of life added to it, money sometimes has the potential to illuminate  the shallowness of life. So yeah everybody gotta make their dollars, but don't make earning the money everything. Learn to make healthy compromises when it comes to money, but also be aware of the things that money can't buy like lost time with loved ones, health, and much more on your quest for money.
In other words, don't let money dictate the inner you....so try to "make the money work for you, instead of working for the money."

One step at a time

I think it is interesting how in the quest to succeed we get so fired up and stressed, that we forget to even take one step...a baby step. We should really strive to start whether the conditions are ideal or not. I think it is great to have big dreams, but the art of accomplishing big things in small steps is also a valuable skill many of us overlook. So remember to dream big and not to wait forever to take that step or you will never learn to walk, run or fly!
Happy day!

Humility is a treasure

Today I am pondering on humility. What makes us proud? Why do we sometimes compares ourselves to others in order to feel better? I bet a psychologist or someone with a good head on their shoulders would know. As for now, I don't know...I know I just want to be humble...I want to be in the valley.
Great day everyone!

What in the world do I do with anger?

I don't know how often you all face this emotion. I have known some people who used to not get as angry quickly but now constantly  battle against it. One of the guiding  principles of life I guess is acknowledging that there is a problem. So if you are getting angry quickly and staying angry for a long time...and it could be either at yourself, others or things...it is time to ponder on this emotion.
Sometimes we might possibly convince ourselves that we enjoy being angry due to different factors. However, in the long run anger damages us and robs us of all other pleasant emotions. So when we get angry we have to realize that we have to find a way to deal with the anger in a constructive manner. For some people it could be writing down their thoughts, for others it is maybe counting to ten while maybe for others it involves immediately confronting the matter.
In whatever you do, please remember that anger is an emotion that when fed on leads to a lot of bad things. Angry people kill, rob, and even hurt people in the heat of the moment even if they were angelic. That is why we need to not shy away from helping ourselves and others to deal with anger.
Happy day!
